


Students will learn the history of American foods like hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, cheesecake, etc.., and how they reflect America’s immigration history, its values of innovation and adaptation. Every food serves as a symbol of identity and tells a story of migration, struggle, triumph and cultural exchange, that contribute to American life and history.
Activities: Students will read and/or listen to the origin of many famous foods and how they became a symbol of American culture and lifestyle. Student will also analyze the role of such foods in movies and TV series as a reflection of American cultural expression.
Debate and discussions will follow up.
Attendance: 1h a week
Age – 13 - 15
Level –lower intermediate and intermediate
Number of students per class = min. 4; max 6
